Maritz Canada in brief

1980 Maritz Canada begins operations in Canadian marketplace
1991 Markham office opens
1992 AIM (Active Impressions in Marketing) is acquired and amalgamated with Maritz to form Maritz Canada Inc.
1995 Maritz brings first points card using debit technology to Canadian marketplace
1998 We acquire Thompson Lightstone, a leading research provider. Later renamed Maritz Research Canada
2001 Steve Maritz becomes Chairman of Maritz Inc., our parent company based in St. Louis, Missouri. He is the 4th generation of the Maritz family to lead the company. Additionally, the Maritz Canada head office opens at 6900 Maritz Drive in Mississauga, Ontario
2002 Maritz Canada is named one of Canada’s 50 best companies
2003 We receive ISO 9001:2000 certification, the first agency in Canada to do so. Maybe the only
2004 We are awarded our 10th SITE Crystal award for exceptional incentive travel, and the Maritz consumer loyalty business is launched
2005 Atlantis Creative Group is acquired, further strengthening our expertise in marketing communications.
To support our growing number of consumer-facing programs, as well as our channel-based initiatives, we launch our customer care call centre.
The call centre establishes a reputation for providing high-touch, personalized customer service for loyalty, incentive and learning programs
2009 We take our digital offerings to the next level with dedicated mobile and social media marketing teams
2010 We reposition our core solution sets as sales channel enablement, consumer loyalty and engagement marketing
